Using a mathematical model, a study has revealed that age matters in determining the optimal time of day at which NMN and Resveratrol can be administered. Mehrshad Sadria and Anita Layton, professors of Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Pharmacy and Biology at the University of Waterloo, have developed a mathematical model that simulates circadian rhythm and metabolism in the livers of mice given NMN and Resveratrol.

When it’s best for young people to take NMN and Resveratrol
The best dosage is as follows: young people should take NMN six hours after waking up for best effectiveness. As for Resveratrol, it’s best for young people to take it at night, while older people at midday. [1]
Which times of day are optimal
“The times of day when we eat, what we eat, how much we sleep and how long we exercise are all factors that affect our bodies, how we age and how we live,” Layton said.
But personal preferences matter too. The full dose of NMN is best taken in the morning, one hour before a meal, on an empty stomach, as food can inhibit absorption. [2] The Australian biologist David Sinclair prefers to take NMN and Resveratrol for breakfast with yogurt. [3] Others have as a favorite time of administration in the evening, before bedtime, as these supplements help to create a deep sleep.
What is the recommended dosage
As for dosage, there is no standardized daily amount for NMN. Studies generally use daily amounts of between 250 and 1,000 milligrams, either capsules or powder. In the case of resveratrol, the recommended daily dose generally ranges from 150 to 500 milligrams.
It’s best to start with a lower dose of 100-250 milligrams and gradually increase the dose over time.
